Two kinds of workforce, one calculation engine
Contract manpower paid by the day and staff on a monthly structure are genuinely different calculations. Both are supported properly, and which one applies is always stated on the record.
Contract manpower
Gross is days worked multiplied by the rate per day. The rate comes from the attendance sheet, the employee record, or the rate card for that site, skill and month — and the report says which.
The provident fund wage ceiling is applied as a monthly figure. A worker who earns ₹14,112 in a month has PF wages of ₹14,112, not a fraction of the ceiling.
Salaried staff
Basic, DA, HRA, conveyance, special and other allowances, prorated by paid days against calendar days, with loss of pay handled explicitly.
For a part-paid month the ceiling is prorated too, which is the correct treatment for a monthly-rated employee.
